About Us

Agape House Children's Home, Inc.

Agape House is a non-profit group home in El Dorado, AR serving children in and around Union County that are unable to live in their homes due to abuse, neglect, or other life events.

Founded by 2 foster/adoptive parents that have a heart for children, Agape House Children's Home, Inc. is a home built on love. Our founders were able to touch the lives of over 70 foster children during their time of fostering.  That may seem like a lot, but they wanted to do more for the foster children and the community and the vision for Agape House began.  Our mission statement summarizes our commitment to these children.

At Agape House, we believe that all children have the right to be loved unconditionally.  We seek to provide shelter, refuge and treatment for hurting children of our community while covering them in the same type of love – Agape love – that our heavenly Father has shown us.  We believe that in doing so, these children can heal and grow and spread hope into our community.

Right now there are more foster children than beds available in Union County (60 children and 4 open foster homes).  That means that not only are these children being uprooted from the only home they know, but their community as well. Agape House will open 10 more beds in our community.
